The Faith Pillars · The Word

There are moments when we want God to show us the entire plan. We want to know how everything will work out, when the answer will come, and what will happen next.
But Scripture reminds us:
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
Walking by faith does not mean ignoring reality or pretending that difficulties do not exist. It means we do not allow what we currently see to become greater than what we know about God.
Our circumstances may be uncertain, but God remains faithful. The path may not be clear, but He is still present. We may not understand every delay, change, or unanswered question, but we can continue trusting His wisdom and direction.
Faith often looks like taking the next right step without having every answer. It may mean continuing to pray when nothing appears to be changing. It may mean obeying God even when the outcome is not guaranteed. It may mean choosing peace over fear and trusting that God is working beyond what we can currently see.
Walking by faith also requires us to stay close to God. We strengthen our faith through prayer, reading His Word, listening for His direction, and allowing Scripture to guide our decisions. The closer we grow to Him, the more our confidence rests in who He is rather than in what is happening around us.
You do not have to see the entire road to keep moving forward. Ask God to guide your next step, trust Him with what you cannot control, and continue walking with Him.
What is one area of your life where God may be asking you to trust Him beyond what you can currently see?
Lord, help me to walk by faith and not be controlled by what I see. When the way is unclear, remind me that You are still present and trustworthy. Give me wisdom for my next step, peace while I wait, and courage to continue following You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
